So this might be cheating, but I am going to post some pictures from yesterday. I had such a fantastic day!

I drove three hours to take a intermediate bead making class. I learned so much, and I just want to play.

Here is a picture of me making a twisted stringer. This technique is going to take a lot of practice. (this picture was not taken with my IPhone, but with someone else's smartphone.)

There is also a picture of my two favorite beads of the day. I made a fish!!!!

This hobby just brings a smile to my face and time just disappears when I work with glass.

Sterling Sunday!

These are my favorite pictures of Sterling from the week. Sterling loves "ball time," but sometimes we can't find the right ball at the store. I had an idea that beach ball would be perfect.

Adam was right, it took me forever to get Sterling to play and he quickly popped the ball.

But bottom line, he still had fun!

Game night!

I know I am posting this pretty close to tomorrow, but I am still awake so it counts.

We went over to a friend's house and played "Small world." It is always nice to spend time with friends.

BTW Adam won, but barely. I got second place.

New park

I took Sterling for a walk through mud at a new park this morning. I didn't expect it to be so muddy, but we did our best.

This park is so beautiful, I need to go visit it more often. Next time I will go in the evening after the ground dries out.

Happy place

Everyone one has happy places, today I visited one of mine. Most of my happy places are not easily accessible but this one is located in Houston!

The butterfly center at the Houston Museum of Natural Science is awesome. To me this place is simply magical.

So I was bringing Adam dinner, another thing that makes me smile. I love eating dinner with my husband. I noticed the different colors in the sky and how the clouds were highlighted.

I know there are power lines in the way, but that's life, just look past the power lines.

Beautiful weather

Today was so beautiful outside, and I was able to enjoy the weather and eat lunch outside.

I still can't believe the weather is this nice in April in Houston, it hasn't been muggy at all.

Clean living room!

I left work today after a half day and needed to be productive. So I cleaned part of the house, I still need to wash the floors, but everyone should breathe a little easier now.

Sterling Sunday

Sterling is playing with his ball, right now. I took some video, but I can't publish that from my phone.

He is the best little pup!

Adam has been working a lot lately, so much that we go days without having a real conversation, but he took today off so we could have a date.

We went to the Imperial Sip and Stroll. It was a wine and food event at the old sugar mill.

We got to taste wines and lots of different foods. So great to eat and talk.

Happy Friday!

Walking the Pup

So I got home from work and the gym today without taking a single photo. I even spent some time at the park near my gym looking for some pretty flowers.

I was looking around the bedroom searching for inspiration, and my eyes landed on this:

I had a huge smile on my face!

Packages in the mail

I was so surprised to come home and find two packages at home.

The best part is that they are supplies for our upcoming vacation. Some new clothes for me (if they fit), bars for Adam and a new camera bag.

Breakfast tacos!

I love breakfast tacos and breakfast burritos. Today I was thinking about why this food makes me smile, other than it is tasty.

It is a comfort food, I associate it with New Mexico, and my parents. My mom used to take me to get breakfast burritos before school, and my Dad makes great breakfast burritos.

There are so many great memories associated with this food, and I never really put it all together until today.

Sterling Sunday!

To start this blog, I wanted to show a picture of my dog, Sterling.

He brings a smile to my face every single day!

This picture was taken earlier this week, he was hiding from the fan underneath Adam's fleece.

This is day one, on April 15th, 2013 I will have changed my focus to finding the good around me.

Test post

I took this picture during a morning walk, the colors were so striking. I just took a moment to admire the beauty.
